With all this activity on the remake of The Prisoner - will they remake Danger Man?

If so, who would be good in the lead?

This is a great question. I can't think of an actor right now that would be right for the part of John Drake.

Will they ever do a Dangerman remake, my thought is probably no... seeing how long a remake of The Prisoner has taken. I can't see the point of a Dangerman remake either.

At least with The Prisoner you have more to work with, it being so allegorical. Dangerman is a straight forward secret agent story. I think MI-5 (Spooks) has been the closest I've seen to a modern day Dangerman. Todays viewing public wouldn't care for a John Drake character, they want sex and violence.

I agree, I was just about to say this.. it would be interesting to see a remake but it would be nothing like the original that we love so much. However, I could see Drake being made into a slightly darker character, that's why he's without the women.. he's isolated. He was like that to an extent anyway, so a modern take could pull on that. The dark side of the glamour spy.. the anti-Bond

That's a really good question.

David Tennant could be a good John Drake. He is a very talented actor with years of theatre experience under his belt prior to becoming Doctor Who - he is capable of playing seriously heavy parts and yet is also a fine comedic actor too. Actually, I think that the producers of The Prisoner remake should have considered him first really but perhaps that's me just daydreaming

What do you think? Have you got anyone else in mind?

I thought that!! Exactly that!! He's got a good serious side to him. I think they would be able to keep Drake's ethics, but have a bit of a spring in his step. Plus he'd knock those roles where Drake pretends to be someone else right out of the park

I actually don't think it could be remade at the current time.

Drama shows are all ensemble pieces at the moment, got to have a group of 6 main characters not just one strong one.
