After recently watching the new 2009 series, I am wondering how the story would fare as a full-blown novel.

I don’t know if there are any plans to publish such a book, but I think it could turn out to be a very interesting read if the novel could:
Re-create the same fast paced and ‘heady’ ambiance as seen in the TV series and,
Develop the main characters and their motivations to a more ‘in-depth’ level than that seen in the TV series.

Just a thought!

In fact I am suprised the lack of spin off stuff and merchandising. I want a Ian McKellen action figure!
