Hi Jan

I have to confess to never having seen 'Babylon 5' but I gather the producers were somewhat enamoured of the McGoohan style, so perhaps it is not entirely coincidental that their character and mine adopted some similar mannerisms of speech.

The view from those broad shoulders is probably quite similar.... whoever's looking....

Stracyzinski, the show's creator, was a Prisoner fan, and it shows up in many ways. The Psi Corps, the interrogation episodes, the used of circular sets and circular movements, the use of spotlights. Lorienne wasn't a Prisoner tie-in, but I just thought that the way you wrote the Butler's lines -- wise-sounding, but non-informative really -- sounded similar to the B5 character.

Hi Jan

I'd like to think of it as great minds thinking alike.... rather than the other thing....

I gather the Babylonians even had their own number six...... The dress-maker must have spent some time figuring out the hazards of fall-out from what googleimages shows me. Or was she a reference to the Nexus 6 model in Blade Runner?

All roads lead to somewhere. It's the knowing where that is the tricky bit.

Hi Moor,
Sorry to be dense, but I don't get your reference to the Babylonians or the dressmaker. And I never saw Blade Runner.

Help, please!

The dangers of an idle google.

For some reason I ended up with a reference to Number Six when I googled Babylon 5 ......

But looking at the information more closely, I've since realised it's from another show - Battlestar galactica...

Sorry Jan, I like being obtuse, but not this obtuse...

I'll let you do the googling, or not...

My observation is somewhat redundant now....

No wonder I didn't get it...I never watched Battlestar Galactica either. Oh well.
