Oh no, definitely not, wouldn't mind living there meself. I went there last year and it was beautiful, better than the desert in the remake.

Absolutely! I've been there a couple of times myself and like you I really wouldn't mind living there...apart from the tourists
I often pass there on my journey to Porthmadog and even though we know where it is what it looks like etc, it is still a mysterious place when watching the series.

Hello I`m new here. No the first series is always the best of any works, when we see it.
This one seems more like a cross between Fantasy Island & Hi De Hi set in Cuba.

Im a big fan of the original and watched the remake with some sceptisim but you know it really is very good. Different of course to '67 but well acted and shot with good cues to original without trying to hard. Thats all i have to say - well done to the makers - im watching the series again on iphone. DD.
