Will he be the only "New Number 2" during the 6 episodes though?

Yes, I can see Ian McKellern as No. 2 but part of the dynamic of the originals was having a different No. 2 each week.

No idea about new No. 6. Never heard of him!

I think he's a good choice, but, like SchizoidMan, the show really was great with No. 6 having to deal with a new No. 2 each week.

It's funny...McGoohan was offered the role of Gandalf but turned it down. Small world!

I'm really glad they've picked such a great actor to play Number 2, but I would much prefer more than one... To me, the whole point was that Number 6 was so strong and defiant that no-one could break him. They'd have to bring in their best men and women, and each would fail!

Not sure about our new No.6 but to be fair.. I haven't seen him in action
