What did you make of Arrival/Harmony?

General comments here, no spoilers please.

I'd never seen the prisoner before so was new to it all. Overall I liked it - not sure what was goin on most of the time but Gandalf was great.

It was okay. I have to see the rest before I can decide. So far it does seem somewhat dumbed down.

I really liked the first half hour of Arrival. After that, I found myself glancing at the clock every few minutes, not so much to see if it was over yet, but wondering if there was still enough time in each episode for it to make a point. Never happened.

Still, that being said, I think it's important to remember that one difference between the original and the remake was that the individual episodes in the original were self-standing and reached a conclusion (of sorts) at the end. The remake is one story in six parts and I think we must see it to the end before passing judgement.

I've only seen the first 2 episodes so far but have to say i really like it.

It has the same trippy feeling as the original but with goregous visuals, a truly evil number 2.

Number 6 is OK, bit wimpy compared to McGoohan.

What is with those pig masks???

I felt the exact same way Jan. Although the 3rd and 4th episodes got a little more interesting, it still hasn't captivated me. Hopefully something worthwhile will happen in the final 2 episodes.
I can see why AMC chose to air 2 episodes back to back for 3 consecutive nights. It probably would have lost more viewers if it had been broadcast 1 episodes per week.
I am only sitting this out because it is The Prisoner.
At least we have our original version, which right now is looking better and better!!!
