Jim Caviezel has suffered minor injuries after an incident on his motorcycle.
He was riding through northern Washington when a pedestrian threw his bicycle into the road. Caviezel hit the bike and crashed, but was able to walk away with minor cuts and abrasions. The actor was treated at Cascade Medical Center in Leavenworth and released soon after he arrived.
Local police have reported that Caviezel was wearing proper safety equipment at the time, and the incident "could have been a lot worse."
It's not clear why the 42-year-old pedestrian threw his bicycle into Caviezel's path. Police officers are reported to have said "mental issues may be to blame."
Several witnesses were interviewed at the accident, and officers will recommend that prosecutors pursue charges of assault and reckless endangerment.
